One day commercial vehicle inspection operation in Nebraska nets 212 violations, 19 out-of-service orders

The Nebraska State Patrol (NSP) released results from a recent commercial vehicle inspection detail that focused on trucks that may not pass-through weigh stations as part of their regular routes.

Troopers with NSP’s Carrier Enforcement Division held the inspection operation in Buffalo County, Nebraska, on August 6, 2025.

NSP conducted 41 commercial vehicle inspections and uncovered 212 violations of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and state law.

Additionally, troopers issued 19 out-of-service orders. Seventeen commercial vehicles were placed out-of-service for various safety violations, and two drivers were also taken out-of-service as part of the operation.

A total of 28 citations were issued during the single day inspection operation.

“The effort focuses on commercial vehicles that may not pass-through weigh stations as part of their regular routes,” NSP said.

The inspections were carried out by NSP troopers with the Metropolitan Aggressive and Prevention Selective (MAPS) Team, funded by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
