One injured when semi truck rolls with driver’s four children and wife inside

One person was injured when a semi truck overturned in a single vehicle crash on Sunday.

The accident happened on January 12th in Farmington, Maine at about 10:53 a.m. at the intersection of New Vineyard and Fairbanks roads.

According to Bangor Daily News, the 47-year-old trucker was hauling bottled water with his family along for the ride when he failed to stop at an intersection. The tractor trailer then went off of the road and overturned, coming to a stop on its side.

First responders helped a woman and four young children out of the truck cab following the incident and evaluated them for injuries. The woman was then transported to a hospital with minor injuries.

The rig’s fuel tanks were ruptured in the accident, and the Maine Department of Environmental Protection was called to the scene to help with cleanup. The semi truck is owned by JJS Transport of Lawrenceville, Georgia.
