A semi truck crashed into a low overpass on Tuesday, causing a chain-reaction crash involving three other vehicles.
The accident happened on December 31st at about 9:45 a.m. in Dorr Township, Michigan.
According to Wood 8, a semi truck tried to pass beneath the 144th Avenue overpass on US 131 but was over the height limit. The collision caused a chain reaction crash with three other vehicles, including a box truck.
Only minor injuries were reported in the crash, but the roadway remained closed until about 2:45 p.m. that afternoon for cleanup and investigation of the incident.
The 144th Avenue overpass has been closed until further noticed after being structurally compromised during the crash.
