Up to 15 vehicles were involved in a crash in white-out conditions in Michigan on Monday morning.
The series of accident happened on the morning of January 20th on Interstate 96 near Michigan Highway 37 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
According to 13 ABC, the accident left several vehicles smashed in the median of the roadway, a box truck overturned, and a tractor trailer veered into a roadside ditch. One person involved in the crash was hit by another vehicle when they exited their wrecked car. Other injuries were also reported. None of the people hurt in the crash sustained life-threatening injuries.
Troopers say that there were white-out conditions at the time of the pile-up, and that some of the drivers were traveling at speeds too fast for conditions.
I-96 eastbound was closed near Alpine Avenue for less than two hours for cleanup of the incident. The Alpine Avenue ramp is still closed as of 12:40 EST.
