Police searching for suspects after pumpkin hurled off overpass and into semi truck windshield

Police are searching for suspects after a pumpkin was hurled off of an overpass and smashed into a semi truck windshield in Pennsylvania last week.

The incident happened on November 13th at about 10 p.m. on the Pennsylvania Turnpike near East Calico Township, Pennsylvania.

According to Fox 43, the 2017 Peterbilt 579 was heading west in the right lane of the Turnpike near mile marker 288.5 when a pumpkin smashed through the semi truck windshield. The truck driver, 75-year-old Curtis Baker, was not hurt in the incident.

Police say that unknown suspects threw multiple pumpkins off of a nearby overpass. One of those pumpkins struck Baker’s truck.

The case is being investigated as a case of propulsion of missile into an occupied vehicle – a second degree misdemeanor because no one was injured.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Pennsylvania State Police Bowmansville Station at (717) 445-6716.
