The Pennsylvania State Police are searching for a person who assaulted a trucker in his sleeper at a small truck stop over the weekend.

The assault occurred on Saturday, November 9th at a gas station with a small truck parking lot on 618 Crossley Road in Montrose, Pennsylvania.

According to WBNG, the truck driver was asleep in his cab when a loud bang woke him up. He woke up to find the suspect breaking open the driver’s side window of the cab and getting into the truck. The suspect then assaulted the truck driver, causing him minor injuries.

The man then fled the scene in a grey Dodge Ram crew cab pickup. That same pickup was later reported driving through fields with a man on foot chasing after it.

If anyone has information on the attack, they are urged to contact Gibson state police barracks at 570-465-3154.
