Rear end of beer-hauling semi truck collapses in crash with passenger vehicle

The rear end of a semi truck hauling beer collapsed after a crash on an interstate near Chicago on Monday. 

The accident happened on Monday, December 22nd at around 3:15 p.m. on Interstate 80/94 just west of Torrence Avenue. 

According to Patch News, the semi truck was loaded with beer at the time of the accident, which involved a passenger car. The rear end of the semi truck was left resting on the pavement after the wreck. 

One person was injured as a result of the crash. The exact cause of the crash has not been released. 

The incident is still under investigation.
