A suspected road rage incident involving a semi truck in Waco, Texas, led to federal charges for a pair of “undocumented noncitizens.”
On January 24, 2025, a 911 caller reported that “an individual pointed a rifle at a semi-truck on IH-35” during a road rage incident in the Waco, Texas, area, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Texas.
Officers with the Troy Police Department (TPD) and Lorena Police Department (LPD) responded to the 911 call. No injuries were reported.
Police initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle occupied by Anderson Morales-Calderon and Ever Morales-Calderon.
During the traffic stop, officers spotted two air rifles and one .22 rifle in plain view in the back seat and on the back floorboard of the vehicle, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
Further investigation showed that both Anderson and Ever Morales-Calderon were Guatemalan nationals unlawfully present in the United States.
Both men were arrested on charges related to their alleged aiding and abetting the possession of a firearm as undocumented noncitizens.
If convicted, the two men face up to 10 years in prison.
The case is under investigation by TPD, LPD, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
