Semi truck catches fire and plummets off I-65 in Louisville

A serious crash involving a semi truck was reported in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, on Friday morning.

The crash occurred around 10 a.m. on June 13 on the I-65 ramp near the Kennedy Bridge in Louisville.

Images captured at the scene show a burning semi truck hanging from the overpass.

After falling off the I-65 ramp, the truck came to rest on I-64 east/I-71 north. 

WKLY reports that the truck driver survived with only minor injuries. 

All lanes of I-65 south are closed.

TRIMARC estimates it will take eight hours to clear the crash.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
