Semi truck driver killed after colliding with snowplow on Colorado interstate

A semi truck driver was killed in a crash with a Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) snowplow in Huerfano County on Wednesday morning.

Shortly before 5 a.m. on February 12, the Colorado State Patrol (CSP) responded to northbound I-25 near Walsenburg for a reported crash.

CSP says that the initial investigation shows that a semi truck struck the rear of a CDOT snowplow at mile marker 57.

The truck driver was pronounced dead as the scene.

The snowplow driver was hospitalized with injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
