A Mississippi Commercial Transportation Enforcement Division (CTED) inspection recently uncovered hundreds of pounds of marijuana.
On September 11, 2025, CTED officers stopped a semi truck on I-20 in Lauderdale County, Mississippi, for an inspection, according to the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS).
During a physical inspection of the trailer, officers found 1,050 pounds of marijuana hidden in garbage bags within the load inside the trailer.
California-based truck driver Zhitoa Wang, 36, was arrested for possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
As part of the ongoing investigation, the truck and multiple electronic devices were seized by law enforcement.
“Great work by CTED officers and the MBN for their teamwork and dedication to keeping drugs off our roadways!” Mississippi DPS said.
