Semi truck left resting on bed of pickup after multi vehicle crash

A semi truck was left resting on the bed of a pickup truck after a multi vehicle crash in Oregon on Wednesday. 

The accident happened on December 3rd on Highway 97 near milepost 167 in La Pine, Oregon. 

According to KTVZ 21, the first semi truck crashed into the back of a white Dodge pickup truck, sending the pickup skidding in the rear axle of a second semi truck. The Dodge pickup then caught fire. 

The first semi truck then continued driving before crashing into the back of a black Ford pickup pulling a trailer. The semi truck drove up and over the trailer and was left resting in the bed of the Ford pickup. 

Two people inside of the Dodge pickup were transported for serious injuries. No other injuries were reported. The reason for the initial crash has not bee determined.
