Semi truck passenger lands in roadway after fatal ejection crash in Miami

One person is dead after a multi-vehicle crash in Florida on Monday afternoon. 

The accident happened on January 13th at about 12:25 p.m. on the Florida Turnpike in Miami Gardens, Florida. 

Florida Highway Patrol spokesperson Lt. Alex Camacho stated that a “white tractor-trailer collided into a black Nissan sedan and then another tractor-trailer” in the southbound lanes of the toll road near the Golden Glades interchange. 

According to Local 10, a female passenger in one of the tractor trailers was ejected in the crash and landed in the roadway. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The motorist in the Nissan was taken to the hospital with injuries but is expected to survive. No other injuries have been reported. 

The female victim has not been identified, and the incident is still under investigation.
