Semi truck’s container chassis breaks in half and smashes into highway divider

A truck driver crossing a bridge in Louisiana had his very bad day caught on traffic cam after an incident with his container chassis. 

The accident was filmed on February 17th on the Interstate 10  Calcasieu River Bridge in Louisiana. 

In the video, the truck driver is hauling an empty container chassis when it appears to break in half. The back end of the chassis then smashes into the highway divider wall, throwing up dust until the semi truck finally comes to a stop straddling both lanes with the back end of the chassis on the opposite side of the interstate. 

Traffic manages to stop in time and starts to back up, even though there appears to be room for vehicles to pass on the right.
