Michigan State Police (MSP) responded to a major multi-vehicle crash in Van Buren County on Tuesday morning.
MSP reported the crash shortly before 9 a.m. on January 21 near Hartford, Michigan.

Troopers said that ten passenger vehicles and six semi trucks were involved in a crash on eastbound I-94.
The preliminary investigation shows that three semi trucks were involved in an initial crash on I-94, and this caused a chain reaction resulting in seven crashes and five slide-offs.

Only minor injuries have been reported.
The incident closed eastbound I-94 between mile markers 46 and 56 for hours, but as of 11:20 a.m., MSP said crews were close to reopening the interstate.
