The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) recently took a skid steer hauler off the road for load securement issues and other violations.
According to an April 21 statement from THP, a driver and vehicle were both place out-of service after troopers discovered that the skid steer being hauled was not properly secured.
While inspecting the skid steer haul, troopers also discovered that there was no breakaway device and the driver did not have a commercial drivers license (CDL).
THP shared several photos of the violations discovered on the vehicle.
See below for Tennessee’s CDL requirements based on vehicle type and weight.
