The Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) recently removed a box truck from operation after discovering major structural defects on the vehicle.
The box truck was spotted by a THP Motor Carrier Plus trooper on I-40 in Hickman County, Tennessee, officials said on July 30, 2025.
A traffic stop was initiated after the trooper noticed that the box truck’s “roof was peeled back.”
“A closer inspection revealed severe structural compromise,” THP said.
THP placed the box truck out-of service “to ensure the safety of all motorists.”
