The Chambers County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) arrested three suspects in a string of commercial vehicle thefts as part of a multi-agency investigation.
Over the past month, CCSO has received reports of thefts targeting parked 18 wheelers in Chambers County, Texas, triggering an investigation.
In the early morning hours of February 8, 2025, CCSO investigators were conducting surveillance in the area of State Highway 61 and IH-10 when they located a suspect vehicle.
When police attempted to stop the suspect vehicle, three people fled on foot and one surrendered.
With assistance from other agencies including the Texas Department of Public Safety, CCSO was able to apprehend three of the four suspects in the commercial vehicle thefts.
Jamal Tyler, Ernest Prentice, and Kaden King-Johnson, all from Houston, Texas, are facing charges of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.
Additionally Tyler and King-Johnson were also charged with Evading Arrest or Detention.
Police recovered multiple stolen items and are continuing the investigation.
