Three states teamed up for two week ‘Operation United Front’ commercial vehicle patrol and traffic blitz
State troopers in Kentucky, Missouri, and Illinois partnered this month for a traffic detail and commercial vehicle enforcement effort.
“Operation United Front” took place May 1 — May 15, 2025, and involved the Kentucky State Police (KSP), the Illinois State Police and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Patrols emphasized I-24 through Illinois and Kentucky, as well as I-57 in Illinois and Missouri.
During Operation United Front, troopers targeted commercial vehicle enforcement and violations of speed, occupant protection, driving under the influence, and distracted driving by both passenger and commercial vehicle drivers.

- 272 commercial motor vehicles were inspected
- 53 vehicles placed out-of-service
- 16 drivers placed out-of-service
- 83 speeding citations
- 37 reckless driving citations
- 22 occupant protection citations
- 4 DUI arrests
