Traffic stop on truck hauling cars results in citation and tow, CHP says

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) found multiple violations during a traffic stop performed on a combination vehicle in the Modesto area.

On the afternoon of Tuesday, November 4, troopers with CHP’s Modesto division pulled over a “combination” vehicle hauling cars for a securement violation.

As part of the traffic stop, troopers checked the associated trucking company’s operating authority and learned that had been suspended.

“Consequently, the driver was issued a citation and the combination was towed. The goal of the CHP is to make sure vehicles and companies comply with the law,” state police said.
