Louisiana State Police (LSP) recently partnered with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) and the Arkansas Highway Patrol (AHP) for initiatives to identify unsafe commercial vehicles.
On July 31, 2025, LSP and MHP held a a joint enforcement operation focused on identifying unsafe commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) traveling across Louisiana and Mississippi.

On August 20, 2025, LSP and AHP “teamed up for a detail on US 167 at the Arkansas–Louisiana line, focused on quality Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP) and weight inspections.”

“These joint efforts not only enhanced enforcement and safety but also provided CMV drivers the opportunity to ask questions and receive direct answers from both Louisiana and neighboring state partners. Working together makes our highways safer for everyone, and collaborative efforts like these are exactly what the FMCSA encourages states to pursue in achieving the common goal of reducing CMV crashes,” said LSP.
