Troopers in three states will be out in force over the weekend for a traffic enforcement detail on I-75.
Starting on Friday, February 14 through Sunday, February 16, troopers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the Kentucky State Police, and Michigan State Police will patrol I-75 with an emphasis on speed, seatbelt use, and impaired driving.
The effort is part of the 6-State Trooper Project, though the Indiana State Police, the Pennsylvania State Police, and the West Virginia State Police will not take part in the weekend’s heightened traffic patrols.
The 6-State Trooper Project is a law enforcement partnership program focusing on highway safety, criminal patrol and intelligence sharing.
