Truck driver arrested for DUI after taking out several hundred feet of guardrail

A truck driver was arrested on Monday night after allegedly driving while intoxicated in New York. 

The incident occurred on the evening of February 10th in Dix Hills, Long Island, New York at about 7:48 p.m. 

According to Huntington Now News, the tractor trailer was traveling west on the Long Island Expressway when it left the roadway and drove onto the right shoulder. The rig then crashed into a guardrail for several hundred feet, took out two street lights, and came to a stop east of the Exit 50 off ramp. 

Another vehicle was damaged after crashing into some of the debris left behind by the tractor trailer, but no one was hurt in the incident. 

64-year-old truck driver Timothy Murray was arrested for the incident and charged with Driving while Intoxicated.
