A truck driver was arrested for intoxication assault after running a red light and crashing into a pickup truck.
The accident happened on Tuesday, July 29th in Marshall, Texas at the intersection of Highway 59 and Loop 390.
According to KLTV 7, 59-year-old truck driver Kenneth Janowski was driving his tractor trailer though the intersection when he ran a red light. Janowski then struck a pickup truck hauling an empty horse trailer. Diesel fuel was also spilled in the crash.
Two people inside of the pickup truck were injured in the crash and transported to the hospital. The extent of their injuries is not clear. A hazmat crew also responded to the scene to clean the spilled fuel.
Janowski was booked into the Harrison County Jail on two counts of intoxication assault with a vehicle. The accident is still under investigation and no further information has been released.
