Truck driver arrested in Arizona for immigration violation had multiple licenses from different states, Border Patrol says

A truck driver was arrested by Border Patrol agents after an I-10 crash in Arizona led officials to investigate his immigration status.

According to US Border Patrol Yuma Sector, a 29 year old truck driver from Uzbekistan was involved in a crash on I-10 near Quartzsite, Arizona.

The truck and trailer were towed from the scene of the crash.

Following the crash, officials said that the truck driver “was in possession of five [licenses] – two from New York and three from Ohio – when he was arrested by Blythe Station agents.”

An image shared by Border Patrol shows a New York Learner’s Permit, a New York Driver’s License, an Ohio Driver’s License, an Ohio Commercial Learner’s Permit, and an Ohio Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).

Officials say that the truck driver “illegally entered the U.S. in April 2023 and was subsequently ordered removed by an immigration judge in July of this year. His choice to violate a judge’s order of deportation was not an accident. He was arrested for alien inadmissibility and will be processed for deportation.”

“How many IDs does an illegal alien need?” Border Patrol quipped.
