The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is asking drivers to pay extra attention following a semi truck vs. snow plow collision that occurred over the weekend.
The collision occurred at 11:30 a.m. on January 25 on I-80 at mile marker 332.9, near Lone Tree, Wyoming.
According to WYDOT District 1 – Southeast Wyoming, a plow operator was clearing drifts in the passing lane on eastbound I-80 when it was rear-ended by a commercial vehicle.

No injuries were reported, but WYDOT said that the crash caused “extensive damage” to the sander on the rear of the plow.
WYDOT said that the truck driver was cited.
Officials said that this is the ninth plow to be hit this season in Wyoming and the fourth in District 1.
“WYDOT reminds drivers to be mindful when driving in winter conditions. This includes checking road conditions before traveling, driving at a speed suitable for the conditions, and watching for snowplows,” the agency said.
