A truck driver’s body was pulled from the wreckage after a single vehicle accident that destroyed his truck cab.
The accident happened before 6:45 a.m. on Interstate 16 in Macon, Georgia on Wednesday, August 6th.
According to WGXA, the semi truck veered off the side of I-16 and struck a construction barrier near mile marker 1. The truck then moved onto the right shoulder and struck another construction barrier, bringing the vehicle to a stop.
First responders pronounced the truck driver dead at 6:45 a.m. and the truck driver’s body was “extricated” from the truck cab soon after.
No other vehicles were involved in the accident. The Georgia State Patrol has since identified the truck driver as Donnye Culbreath. No further information has been released.
