Truck stop closed in 2010 rebrands to new 24/7 Talent Travel Center

A travel center in Oregon has shifted to 24/7 operations with truckers in mind after ceasing operations as a truck stop 15 years ago.

The Talent Travel Center in Talent, Oregon is located off of Interstate 5 at Exit 21 on West Valley View Road. It operated as the Talent Truck  Stop before closing in 2010, but reopened with limited semi truck fueling services again in 2018. Now, the location is working on renovating and reopening the semi truck park of the truck stop.

According to Ashland News, the Old Talent Truck Stop signs are still visible as the new travel center works to repave the back lot and reopen the old building at the back of the 4.15 acre site. The building will be used as a truck wash and diesel mechanic shop once reopened.

The owner of the business, Saroya and Sons LLC out of Tacoma, Washington, says that they expect that 50% of their business will be truckers once the truck stop operations are fully up and running.

The truck stop portion of the business is expected to open by mid-March. Initially, there will only be 15 overnight truck parking spots, but that number will be expanded to accommodate about 50 overnight truck parking spots once the rear part of the business is completed.
