Trucker narrowly avoids plunge off narrow, winding turn not intended for semi trucks

A semi truck and its driver narrowly avoided a serious fall off of a winding turn not intended for semi trucks in Seattle on Wednesday.

The accident happened on September 10th in downtown Seattle, Washington on the Spring Street to southbound Interstate 5 ramp.

According to My Northwest News, the semi truck attempted to make the winding turn on the ramp and failed, sending the trailer wheels over the barrier wall before the semi truck came to a stop.

The ramp had to be shut down in order to clear the stuck semi truck that was left blocking the roadway. A photo of the scene taken by one trooper clearly shows the sign banning semi trucks from using the ramp.

“Restrictive signs have a purpose!” the trooper wrote.

The ramp has since been reopened. No further information has been released.
