Trucker with 3 MILLION accident-free miles named Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association 2024 Driver of the Year

A truck driver with 3 million miles behind the wheel accident-free has been named Driver of the Year for 2024 by the Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association. 

Arthur Gerber of Ward Transport and Logistics was named Pennsylvania Motor Truck Association Driver of the Year, Ward Transport and Logistics Driver of the Year, and Ward’s Erie Terminal Driver of the Year – all for 2024. Gerber has been trucking since 1984, has traveled 3 million miles, and has never been in an accident. 

 “Art cares about others and is an outright hero,” said his wife, Denise Murphy-Gerber, to New Castle News. “He understands how important it is to come to work to do such a demanding job. His safety record speaks for itself and is a remarkable achievement.”

Gerber was honored at an awards banquet in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania on March 26th.
