Two trucking company owners are charged with conspiracy to import drugs across the Blue Water Bridge after a cocaine bust earlier this year.
Trucking company owners 32-year-old Lovedeep Singh and 29-year-old Khushdeep Singh are charged with conspiracy and possessing property obtained by crime. The two are believed to be involved in smuggling cocaine into Canada from the US by organizing and directing truck driver Ravinderbir Singh, reported The Sarnia Observer.
Ravinderbir was arrested in March of 2025 by customs officers at the bridge connecting Point Edward in Canada with Michigan. He was charged with importing cocaine and possessing cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. Ravinderbir was working for Divine Freightlines, a trucking company owned by Lovedeep and Khushdeep, at the time of his arrest.
“Based on evidence located during a search warrant, and financial information obtained via production order, the RCMP investigators were able to establish sufficient grounds to charge them with the conspiracy to import,” a RCMP spokesperson wrote in a statement.
Both Lovedeep and Khushdeep fled their shared home in Canada for India after their home was searched, but Lovedeep has since returned and is currently in custody. He is due in court this week.
“Khushdeep remains at large and a warrant to arrest has been issued for him if/when he returns to Canada,” the RCMP spokesperson said.
