Two injured when large steel pipes roll off flatbed driving through Chicago

Two motorists were hurt on a highway in Chicago on Tuesday night after a large load of pipes rolled off of a semi truck. 

The accident happened on February 25th at about 7:23 p.m. in the northbound lanes of the  Kennedy Expressway in Chicago, Illinois. 

According to ABC 7 Chicago, the large steel pipes fell off of a flatbed semi truck as it was driving along the expressway. The pipes struck at least three cars traveling nearby

Two motorists were transported to a hospital with non life threatening injuries.

Crews were forced to temporarily close all lanes as they worked to move pipes over to the shoulder of the expressway. 

The Illinois Department of Transportation was able to bring heavy equipment to the scene and clear the pipes at around 6:45 a.m.
