Video catches the moment that 67 shipping containers fall off ship into water at Port of Long Beach

Video captured the moment that dozens of shipping containers fell from a ship at the Port of Long Beach on Tuesday.

The incident occurred just after 9 a.m. on September 9 at Pier G within the Port of Long Beach, according to port officials.

An estimated 67 shipping containers fell off the cargo ship Mississippi and into the water.

No injuries were reported.

A smaller clean air barge connected to the Mississippi was damaged by the falling containers.

An investigation has been launched into the cause of the incident.
