VIDEO: Oklahoma trooper teaches four wheelers how to share the road with semi trucks
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) shared an informative video on how motorists can more safely share the road with large trucks.
In the OHP video shared on September 23, 2025, Lieutenant Mark Southall shares several tips on “proper driving behavior around semi trucks,” including:
- Don’t follow too closely.
- Don’t hang out in the blind spot.
- Don’t change lanes in front of a semi truck, especially when traffic is slowing or stopping.
“Semi truck drivers across Oklahoma do a great job. We appreciate their service. As car drivers, there are things that we can do to make sure that everybody on the road stays safe,” Southall says.
