Washington trooper finds serious violations on semi truck traveling on I-5

A Washington State Patrol (WSP) trooper recently encountered a semi truck with trailer and brake violations operating on I-5.

Over the weekend, a WSP Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Officer stopped a semi truck on I-5 after noticing “the roof peeling off of the trailer,” according to WSP Public Information Officer John Dattilo.

After the truck was pulled over, the WSP trooper discovered a brake violation in addition to the trailer damage:

“Also, to her surprise after an inspection, she discovered one of the braking components detached and dragging on the ground.”

WSP shared photos of the equipment violations uncovered during the traffic stop.
