The US Department of Transportation Secretary did his best to fit in with truckers at a truck stop event to kick off Truck Driver Appreciation Week.
The event happened on Monday, September 15th at a truck stop in Cranbury, New Jersey to kick off Truck Driver Appreciation Week 2025.
USDOT Secretary Sean Duffy started off TDAW by meeting with truckers and other citizens at the truck stop, dressed in a flannel, jeans, an American flag baseball cap, and sunglasses. Duffy shook hands with drivers, climbed up into a truck cab, says he listened to their concerns and comments, and even did a brief interview with the news media to touch on his new push for Hours of Service flexibility and English proficiency requirement enforcement in states that are resisting.
