Watch this police officer pull a motorist from a flaming crash with a tanker truck through the lens of his body cam.
The crash happened on Wednesday, March 5th on Route 22 in Bridgewater, New Jersey at about 2 a.m.
According to 6 ABC, Peter Della-Ventura was driving his Hyundai Elantra on Route 22 when he crashed into the back of a moving 2007 Freightliner semi truck hauling a tanker trailer. The collision caused both vehicles to catch fire.
The truck driver was able to exit the truck cab, and the passenger in the Hyundai was able to escape, but Della-Ventura was left unconscious in the driver’s seat of the burning car.
Officer Noah Allat happened to be in the area at the time of the crash and quickly responded to the scene. Allat ran over to the vehicle and was able to successfully pull Della-Ventura from the car. Both Della-Ventura were later taken to the hospital for treatment of non life threatening injuries. The truck driver was not hurt.
