Woman who stabbed classmate for “Slender Man” as a child found sleeping on a truck stop sidewalk

A woman who stabbed her classmate for “Slender Man” when she was a girl was found sleeping on a truck stop sidewalk after fleeing her group home. 

22-year-old Morgan Geyser was found sleeping on a truck stop sidewalk with a 42-year-old man at 10:30 p.m. in Posen, Illinois and was taken into custody on Sunday, November 23rd. 

According to The Telegraph, Geyser stabbed her classmate in Waukesha, Wisconsin back in 2014, believing that she had to attack her friend in order to protect their families from the fictional horror character “Slender Man.” The two girls were 12 years old at the time. 

Geyser stayed in a psychiatric hospital for nearly seven years before a judge ordered her released into a group home as part of her 40 year mental health sentence. On Saturday, November 22nd at around 8 p.m. Geyser reportedly cut her ankle monitor and was seen leaving with an “adult acquaintance.” Her absence was was reported to police on Sunday morning by the group home. 

When police found her, Geyser gave police a false name and told them to “just Google her.” Police took both Geyser and her male companion into custody without incident. No further information has been released.
