Wyoming troopers find 253 violations during commercial vehicle crackdown in Evanston

The Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP) released the results from a major multi-day commercial vehicle inspection and enforcement operation that took place earlier this month.

Troopers say that the week-long Mobile Enforcement and Education Team (MEET) detail took place in the Evanston, Wyoming, area at the beginning of November.

The detail involved canine units along with mobile WHP commercial vehicle inspectors.

  • Total inspections: 98
  • Out-of-service violations: 45
  • Total drivers out-of-service: 12
  • Total trucks out-of-service: 42
  • Total decals issued: 22
  • Total violations found: 253
  • K-9 Deployments: 9
  • Misdemeanor drug arrests: 7
  • Felony warrant arrests: 2
  • Possession of child sex abuse material: 1
