$10.1 million in meth seized from Volvo truck at World Trade Bridge

Authorities seized more than 1,000 pounds of methamphetamine from a truck at a Texas border crossing.

The drug seizure took place on Monday, June 15, 2026, at the World Trade Bridge in Laredo, Texas.

A 2013 D-13 Volvo truck hauling a shipment manifested as “polypropylene” was referred for secondary inspection, according to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

The truck was examined by a canine unit and nonintrusive inspection system.

CBP officers seized a total of 1,100.79 pounds of suspected methamphetamine located within the commodity.

The estimated street value of the seized drugs is $10,122,012.

Homeland Security Investigations is investigating the incident.

“This major interception reflects the steadfast dedication of CBP officers to protecting our communities from harmful drugs,” stated Port Director Alberto Flores, Laredo Port of Entry. “The professionalism and thorough efforts of our officers are essential to our mission, and this achievement showcases the exceptional work carried out daily in the cargo environment.
