111 workers will have the choice to transfer or quit after the closure of a Walmart fulfillment center outside of Chicago.
Walmart Inc. issued a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification on Friday, March 27th. The Matteson, Illinois facility is set to close on May 29th.
According to Northwest Arkansas Democrat Gazette, Walmart is offering a $7,500 transfer bonus and relocation assistance for any employees that agree to work at another facility. Workers have a 90 day transition period to find another job.
