$16,000 in fines issued during 12-hour commercial vehicle inspection blitz at Massachusetts/Rhode Island border

Troopers in two states partnered for a single-day commercial vehicle inspection operation at the Massachusetts/Rhode Island border.

On Thursday, July 30, 2026, the Massachusetts State Police (MSP) Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Section and the Rhode Island State Police Commercial Enforcement Unit held a “large-scale commercial motor vehicle enforcement operation” on Route 146 at the Massachusetts-Rhode Island state line.
