23% of trucks weighed during US-60 operation in Arizona were overweight

The Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) shared results from a one-day detail targeting unsafe commercial trucks traveling through Pinal County.

The commercial vehicle enforcement operation took place on July 27 along US-60 as part of a partnership between AZDPS Highway Patrol State Troopers with the Commercial Motor Vehicle Enforcement Unit and the Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) Enforcement and Compliance Division (ECD).

• 3 Drivers Out-of-Service
• 9 Vehicles Out-of-Service
• 6 Citations Issued
• 26 of 113 vehicles were overweight (23% overweight)
