A cargo theft investigation carried out by the Cook County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) led to the recovery of half a million dollars in stolen protein powder from an Illinois warehouse.
In December 2025, a supply chain company contacted CCSO to report that a large shipment of Seeq protein powder had gone missing.

CCSO launched an investigation and “learned that the purloined protein may be in Illinois.”
On December 23, 2025, CCSO’s Organized Retail Crime (ORC) Unit recovered more than 25,000 pounds of stolen protein powder at a warehouse in Bridgeview, Illinois, as a result of the cargo theft investigation.
The recovered protein powder shipment is valued at more than $500,000, according to police.
CCSO is “continuing to gather information to build a strong theft case.”
