$28 million in meth discovered in lime shipment at Arkansas weigh station

Multiple agencies partnered to seize a large shipment of illegal drugs worth tens of millions of dollars from a box truck in Arkansas.

On February 5, 2026, the 8th South Drug Task Force shared details on a major drug seizure that took place in Hope, Arkansas.

Officials say that in November 2025, investigators learned of a shipment of methamphetamine being trafficked through Texarkana.

Multiple law enforcement agencies partnered to track the drug shipment, including the Arkansas State Police, the Texas Department of Public Safety, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the 8th North Narcotics Task Force.

The suspect vehicle, a box truck, was located and stopped at a weigh station in Hope, Arkansas.

After searching the box truck’s load of “10 tons of fresh limes,” authorities located 620 pounds of methamphetamine concealed in the shipment.

The estimated value of the seized drugs is $28.1 million.

Police arrested two individuals on charges of trafficking methamphetamine.
