A recently funded $300,00 grant will soon send “court involved individuals” to trucking school to help them find a career path after their run in with the law.
The Francine A. LeFrak Foundation has donated a $300,000 grant to the New Jersey Reentry Corporation with the specific goal of sending those who recently left prison or are currently navigating the court system to trucking school.
“This investment reflects our belief that workforce development and economic opportunity are essential to strong communities,” read a statement from the foundation’s namesake, a member of the LeFrak real estate development family.
“By supporting training that leads directly to employment, we are helping individuals rebuild their lives while meeting critical labor needs across the region,” LeFrak said to NJ News.
The LeFrak Foundation hopes to help streamline the process for “court involved individuals” by helping them prepare for the workforce as they work towards legal resolution. The LeFrak Foundations has partnered with EZ Wheels trucking school to help move towards this goal.
