70+ year old Tucson Triple-T truck stop will stay open after selling for $8.25M

The longstanding Triple-T truck stop in Tucson will stay open after more than 70 years in business despite a recent multimillion dollar sale.

The Triple-T truck stop is located on the southeast side of Tucson, Arizona along East Benson Highway near Interstate 10. The truck stop was listed for sale last year for $10 million, but sold earlier this month to Satguru Enterprises III LLC. for $8.25 million. The family that originally owned the truck stop decided to sell after moving away from Tucson.

The new owners of the Triple-T say they plan to keep the truck stop open and operating as a truck stop, but are planning a few renovations to add passenger vehicle fuel pumps.

“It’s the ease of mind, knowing you’ll have truck parking, good fuel and good service,” said Rodney Rose, a truck driver of 20 years, to KGUN9. “Everybody here is real nice and friendly, that’s the big thing.”

“I hope people admire the history of it,” added Brady Porter, another truck driver of more than 20 years. “Because the history is what sets it apart from other truck stops.”
