Bottomless woman arrested after stealing semi truck with driver unloading in the back

A bottomless woman was arrested on Wednesday afternoon after she stole a semi truck as the driver unloaded cargo in the back.

The incident happened in the 100 block of Northwoods Avenue in Manteca, California on January 14th. 

According to Fox 40, a truck driver was unloading his trailer for a delivery to a nearby business with the rig turned off and the key in his pocket. As he was unloading, a half-naked woman climbed into the truck cab, found his spare keys in a backpack in the truck, and started driving the truck away. 

The truck driver jumped out of the trailer as soon as the truck began to move and watched as his truck left the scene. The driver then called 911. Police soon located the semi truck heading south on Highway 99 near the Main Street Ripon exit. 

The bottomless woman inside of the semi truck, 28-year-old Makayla Ballewansiel, stopped the truck in the middle of Highway 99 and climbed out, ignoring commands from officers. Ballewaniel then ran from the scene, so police released a police K9 to apprehend her. 

Ballewansiel suffered bite marks to her buttocks, and defecated during her arrest. She was not wearing pants or underwear at the time of the arrest. Police soon discovered that Ballewanniel had an outstanding arrest warrant for burglary and auto theft in Fresno, California. 

“This highlights the problem of repeat offenders committing more crimes due to being released
and not held in custody, the Manteca Police Department said. “This could have resulted in a dangerous ending had she tried to flee in that semi-truck and trailer that ranges in weight between 35,000 pounds (unloaded) and the federal limit of 80,000 (loaded).”

The truck driver was injured by his jump from the semi truck. The extent of his injuries are not clear. No further information has been released.
