A car driver is lucky to have survived a serious crash with a commercial vehicle hauling cooking oil in Oklahoma on Wednesday.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), the crash occurred on the morning of March 11, 2026, on southbound I-35 at Covell.
Troopers said that traffic started to slow, and the car “ran underneath the semi trailer, hitting the rear duals.”
The car driver managed to escape from the crashed vehicle before his ruptured fuel tank ignited the cooking oil on the semi trailer.

The car driver was not injured.
OHP said that the motorist was cited for following too closely.
