Car driver’s unsafe lane change leads to serious crash with commercial vehicle in video shared by Ohio troopers

The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) shared recent dash cam video from a commercial vehicle as a reminder of the consequences of unsafe lane changes.

The video was captured on April 6, 2026, on U.S. Route 35, near Chillicothe, Ohio.

Troopers say that the crash occurred as a red sedan driver attempted to change lanes in between another car and a commercial vehicle.

The sedan driver struck the commercial vehicle and then rolled over.

“While we are grateful this crash only resulted in minor injuries, this video is a reminder of the importance of changing lanes with care and taking your time on the road,” said OSHP.
